This comic took way longer than I originally thought it would.  A huge part of that where the custom drawn frames I did.Comic-105-frame-Lines

Surprisingly, the other thing that took a while was doing the storybook panels.  Yes, they look simple, but I didn’t know what style I was going to go for when I first started.  I did several different tests and trials before settling on the simple cutout look.

I’m happy with how things ended up though, especially all the bright colors.  The storybook stuff really stands out against the other panels.

You have nice big buttons, but please visited making the comic clickable to advance to the next one. This is enough to put me off reading some comics, since I read 10-20 strips at once on my tablet.

I totally agree! I’ll look into how to do this.

EDIT:
I just enabled Touch Gestures. If you are viewing on mobile, try using the following shortcuts:

Let me know if this doesn’t work for you!

Oh wow! I got to panel three and then I went like:

“Hey, these borders have a ton of detail in them! The branches twist around regular borders, there’s grain that actually LOOKS like wood and they’re all shaded to boot! Must’ve taken some serious time to do those.”

Afterwards, I noticed you had actually mentioned that too. Nice work! You took the time to do it, and it really shows in the comic!

The story itself reminds me of an old D&D campaign called “Tomb of Horrors” – Basically that’s what went on during that campaign. Okay, so it didn’t have bear-owls (I love it! Especially the way you drew it too! Hehehe!) and I’m not sure it even had goblins, but the general atmosphere was the same! Traps, death and unfair annihilation everywhere. 🙂

I also love the way the goblins are having a little fiesta on top of the slain adventurer. 😀

Okay, I’m growing a bit frustrated about the comment field not allowing the arrow keys to be used to move the parser though. Every time I try it (and I subconsciously do it -a lot- to go back and fix my text) Chrome decides to throw me back to the previous page. What’s up with that? 🙂
