Bed Time

That druid’s place is incredibly crowded, which makes it  both a pleasure and pain to draw.

The panels themselves are way too crowded/busy, which I think makes it a bit difficult to follow.  I tried to cram a lot in to three panels.  Live and learn.

You may notice some things popping up on the site (such as a characters section, about section, etc).  Feel free to peruse, but for the most part there’s either nothing or poorly formatted information.  I’m working on getting this stuff up and going soon, so stay tuned!

Bo and Jasper getting all snugly.  Reminds me of this (one of the few  of my own comics that still makes me laugh).

I often say I wish I had spent more time shading or with colors.  This was one of the few times I feel like the comic is “complete.”  I really like how the shading turned out here, as well as the layout and colors.  Probably helps that this was a simple three panel instead of a full page, but I’ll take it.

On the website front, I’m sorry!  I upgraded to the latest version of WordPress and most of my custom theming broke.  If you’re having trouble, it should hopefully get fixed soon.

Animal Husbandry

That ‘lil kittree is a cutie.

Fun Fact: It was originally not going to be with them for as long as it has been.  I was going to have it so that the lil guy would sacrifice itself to help save Bo and Jasper, but when the time came I couldn’t do it. Too cute.

Don’t hold your breath though… I’ll work up the courage to kill it off eventually.

Fun Fact 2: In writing this, I realized that I haven’t assigned gender to the kittree, which makes writing about it  with pronouns difficult.

Holy crap.

I never really thought I would keep doing this as long as I have.  In fact I probably wouldn’t have it weren’t for the dedicated fans who were always demanding more.  I owe a huge thank you to everyone who reads this comic.  I’m pretty lucky.

Keep commenting and letting me know what you like, hate, want to see next and of course spelling corrections (for which I can always count on the internet).

Also, this Sailor Moon inspired level up is dedicated to my wife who has supported me through it all.  Thank you!

EDIT: If you like Dungeon Crawlers, be sure to Like us on Facebook for updates and behind the scenes.

I always think it’s hilarious when playing a game and you have four or five of the same character model on screen.

On a technical note, I didn’t have time to get this page shaded, because I was trying to get two posted this week (which I totally did).

On an awesome note, this is comic 99.  That means next Friday the animated Dungeon Crawlers will be released!

Jasper’s got his eye back, but looks like he’s still grumpy at that girl.  Speaking of which, she still hasn’t been named yet.  I am just now realizing this as I write it.  Hopefully proper introductions will be forthcoming (eventually).

Even more hopefully is I’ll get more practice drawing people.  Hoo boy.  When I started this comic, part of the reason the main characters are blobs is that I asked myself, what could I easily and quickly draw over and over.  I’m trying to teach myself more humany type stuff as I go, but even still this new girl character has been a real challenge.

The next two comics are going to be short little three strips like this one, and then we will be on our 100th comic!  Crazy I know.

I love a good pun.  Even better I love a bad one.

I have to say it’s nice to finally have Jasper with his eye back.  When I first had him lose it, I decided that I wanted to create a quest to retrieve it — something to get them out of their dungeon and out on the road.  When I was figuring all this out, I estimated he’d get it back around the 100th comic (this was around the same time I decided to make an animated short for the 100th).  With this comic being the 96th (and the animation nearly complete), I figure I did all right.

A note on this one, you may recognize the hand as seen in the third comic ever in this series.  I have a secret regarding the aforementioned hand: it was traced.  I took a photo of my wife’s lovely digits and inked over it.  The shading and coloring and such were all done with minor references to the photo, but the actual inks took little liberties.  I did this to help create a juxtaposition in art styles between the world of the Gods and the ordinary plain of existence that Bo and Jasper reside upon.  Also I am lazy and a bad artist.  But hey, at least I got a comic done in time.
